Anniversary of ACD's Passing
A Crowborough member will place flowers at the ACD Memorial, Terrace Montargis, Croft Road, Crowborough.
Sunday 12 November 2006 - Crowborough
Remembrance Sunday and Pre-Xmas Meal and Social
Meet at the ACD Memorial at 10.50am for a short Remembrance Ceremony, and then move on for the meal and social. The venue for the meal will be announced at a later date.
Tuesday 22 May 2007 - Crowborough
ACD Birth Commemoration and AGM
The Commemoration will be at the ACD Memorial, the times and the venue for the AGM will be announced at a later date.
10 June - 24 September 2006 - Portsmouth
An introductory exhibition of up to 150 of the best artefacts bequeathed by Richard Lancelyn Green will be on display at the Portsmouth City Museum, Museum Road, Portsmouth, the opening times are from 10am until 5pm and the entry is free. They hope to have the permanent exhibition open in 2007.
1 July - 29 October 2006 - Edinburgh
Conan Doyle and Joseph Bell - The Real Sherlock Holmes at the Surgeons' Hall Museum, Nicholson Street, Edinburgh.
An exhibition dedicated to Joseph Bell, the inspiration for Conan Doyle's greatest character - Sherlock Holmes.
